We check construction and material against daily use — seams, hardware, closures, the parts that give out first. If it won't hold up to an ordinary week, it doesn't make the edit.

If it only comes out twice a year, it doesn't make the edit. We choose for the commute, the desk, the errand and the evening in — the hours that actually fill a week.
REPEAT-WORTHY
Would we choose it again, full price?
We ask after living with a piece — not just unboxing it. If the honest answer is no, it leaves the edit. That's how the selection stays small, and stays worth your time.
